<strong>Australian</strong> <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Prix</strong> <strong>Corporation</strong><strong>2012</strong> <strong>Formula</strong> 1 <strong>Australian</strong> <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Prix</strong>Fencing-Parawebbing InstallationOverviewThe following document provides additional information regarding the majorrequirements for works concerning the installation, maintenance and removal of bothparawebbing and bunting fencing required for the <strong>Formula</strong> 1 <strong>Australian</strong> <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Prix</strong>event to be held at Albert Park, Melbourne during March. The Event is held over afour day period, however a considerable amount of facilities are required to becompleted prior to the Event.Construction of infrastructure to support the Event is carried out an eight weeks ofbuild period with dismantle beginning immediately following the Event. Fulldismantle is required to be completed within four weeks of the Event.The Scope of WorksThe works involve the installation, maintenance and removal of AGPC ownedParawebbing and Bunting infrastructure. The Contractor will be responsible for thetransport of all fencing infrastructure to and from the Altona Storage Yard includingloading and unloading in Albert Park.This work shall include the erection and dismantling of all parawebbing and buntingaround the site for the build, the event and dismantle phases.Fencing infrastructure will be stored/transported in a number of containers, purposebuilt stillages and pallets.The contract will be based on the scope of works and include, but not be limited to thefollowing;• Preliminaries and installation of own site facilities;• Transport, unloading and loading of all containers and stillages holdingfencing materials owned by the AGPC from the Altona Storage Yard;• Erect, maintain and dismantle Parawebbing and Bunting Fencing;• Provision of a Standby Crew during the Event


The Scope of ServicesThe services required shall include, but not be limited to the following;• Preparation and implementation of externally accredited QualitySystems, Contractor HS&E Plan and detailed construction programmes;• Inventory control, including submission of a list of additional materials ifrequired and a detailed inventory upon delivery and packing of containersincluding the quantity, condition and location of all assets, whereapplicable to the Works;• Review and acceptance of survey data provided by others, includinglocation of underground services;• Cooperation and coordination with other Contractors;• Continuously monitor and maintain installed Works;• Continuously keep the Site and Albert Park Reserve clean of constructionand general debris;• Preparation and submission of shop drawings required by thisSpecification or as otherwise necessary;Standards, Safety and InspectionsThe works shall be executed in accordance with the best trade practices to provide thesite with a first class installation both in performance and in appearance. They shallalso comply with the requirements of all statutory acts and regulation that apply forworks including the relevant <strong>Australian</strong> standards as published by StandardsAustralia.The contractor shall under its own internal Quality Assurance Programme andProcedures inspect the works during the installation.
