Requests must satisfy the formal requirements set out in the Freedom of Information Act1982. In particular, applicants should ensure that the request provides sufficientinformation concerning the document as is reasonably necessary to enable theresponsible officer of the Corporation to identify the document. Where a request does notcomply with the necessary requirements, the applicant will be so advised and given theopportunity to reformulate the request.Upon receipt of the request the Corporation will endeavour to provide a response as soonas practicable and, in any case, not later than 45 days after the day on which theCorporation receives the request.The types of documents to which access will not be granted are detailed in Part 4 of theFreedom of Information Act 1982 and Section 49 of the <strong>Australian</strong> <strong>Grand</strong>s <strong>Prix</strong> Act 1994.Where access is denied, applicants will be given reasons. Applicants may then apply tothe FOI Commissioner to review the decision. Further appeals to the Ombudsman or theVictorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal can be made in accordance with theprocedures set out in the Freedom of Information Act 1982.Further information regarding Freedom of Information can be found on FOI Onlinewww.foi.com.auChargesRequests for access must be accompanied by a $25.70 application fee as at 1 July <strong>2013</strong>($25.10 as at 30 June 2012). Further charges for the supply of documents in relation tofreedom of information requests are made in accordance with the Freedom ofInformation Act 1982 and the Freedom of Information (Access Charges) Regulations 2004.Categories of DocumentsThe Corporation maintains records and files incorporating documents relating to generaladministrative matters, the Formula One event at Albert Park and the Motorcycle <strong>Grand</strong><strong>Prix</strong> held at Phillip Island. All records and files are maintained at the Corporation’s premisesin Melbourne or at an external offsite storage provider’s premises.The Corporation also maintains two websites at www.grandprix.com.au andwww.motogp.com.au and produces promotional newsletters for sending to subscribers viaaccess to these websites.h. Multicultural PolicyThe Corporation endeavours to promote policies applicable to a culturally andlinguistically diverse society.
