She is an Independent Company Director of SVI Global.She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Transport and theFoundation for the Advancement of Science and Technology inSchools. Laura is Chairman of the L'Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival,The Good Foundation and The CEO Circle. She was the NationalPartner in Charge of Strategy and Development for KPMG Australiaand founding Partner of KPMG’s Risk and Advisory Services for IndustryPractice. She was a Board Member of the Just Group where she wasChairman of the Risk Committee. She is a Governor of the American Chamber of Commerce,a Board Member of the American Australian Association, a member of the Australian Instituteof Company Directors and the National Association of Corporate Directors in Washington D.C.• Patrick J FlanniganMr Flannigan is the Principal of WGK Investments Pty Ltd, specialising inadvisory services to the Telecommunications and Utilities infrastructureSectors. He is currently Managing Director and Chief Executive Officerof Utility Services Group Limited, prior to this he was Head ofConstruction for NBN Co. Mr Flannigan was the founding ManagingDirector and Chief Executive Officer of Service Stream Ltd. Beforejoining Service Stream he founded and was Non-Executive Chairman ofthe successful Australasian Maintenance Services company. MrFlannigan has also held General Manager and senior managementpositions in the publicly listed company Skilled Group and JetsetTravel. He is on the Board and Chairman of the Finance Committee of Western Chances.• Gillian FranklinMs Franklin is recognised as one of Australia’s most innovativeentrepreneurs having quickly established a multi-million dollar business inthe highly competitive cosmetic industry. An award winningbusinesswoman with over 20 years experience in strategic leadershipand consumer marketing, she is Managing Director of her owncompany, The Heat Group Pty Ltd which represents, amongst others, theProcter & Gamble cosmetic brands in Australia. Ms Franklin haspreviously held Managing Director and General Management positionsfor some of Australia’s leading consumer companies, including CreativeBrands and Revlon. Ms Franklin is also on the Board of ACCORD, theCTFAA (Cosmetic Toiletry Fragrance Association of Australia), the Melbourne TheatreCompany (MTC). Ms Franklin recently held Board position with CEDA (Committee forEconomic Development of Australia), the Microsurgery Foundation and was the Chairman ofNeopec.• Alan OxleyMr Oxley is one of Australia’s leading strategic advisers on internationaltrade, investment and sustainability, and the Asian region. He runsMelbourne-based ITS Global, a consultancy on global issues. Mr Oxleywas a diplomat for 20 years representing Australia in Singapore and atthe United Nations in New York. He was Australian Ambassador to theGATT, the predecessor of the World Trade Organisation.
