Monday - Wednesday – Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pmThursday 8:30am - 3:00pmFor after hour’s access:Armed Forces Emergency Service Center ............................................. 877-272-7337Services:• The Navy-<strong>Marine</strong> Corps Relief Society provides assistance <strong>to</strong> active duty & retired Sailors &<strong>Marine</strong>s.• Assistance is given in the form of interest free loans for emergency needs including emergencytransportation, funeral expenses, medical/dental bills, food/rent/utilities, disaster relief assistance,child care expenses, essential vehicle repairs, & unforeseen family emergencies.• Education loans & grants help eligible Navy & <strong>Marine</strong> Corps families pursue their academic goalsby providing a source of education financing.• Non-financial support including information on pay/allowances, education on responsible moneymanagement, & referrals <strong>to</strong> community services.• Visiting nurses are available <strong>to</strong> assist with health education, new parent questions and provideinformation about health-related resources.• “Budget for Baby” class is offered <strong>to</strong> expectant parents & provides information about the costsassociated with a newborn. “Baby’s First Sea bag”, a layette worth approximately $120, is given <strong>to</strong><strong>Marine</strong> Corps and Navy expectant parents (all ranks) upon completion of class.• The Society’s funding is mainly from the generous contributions of <strong>Marine</strong>s and Sailors whodonate money during the annual fund drive <strong>to</strong> help “take care of their own.” All donated funds arereturned <strong>to</strong> fellow service members as relief services; none of the donated funds are used <strong>to</strong> payoperating costs of the Society.What <strong>to</strong> bring <strong>to</strong> appointments:• ID Card/ Current LES• Any documents pertaining <strong>to</strong> the problems• Knowledge of monthly expensesSpecial Notes for Volunteers:• The Service Member makes the request for assistance unless unavailable due <strong>to</strong> military duties.• The Service Member should fill out a pre-authorization card and file it with NMCRS beforedeployment.
