Operation • Supervisor Functions •• Programmer DiagnosticsSupervisorFunctionsSocketThe current state of the programming socket can be viewed and toggled withthe Up and Down Arrows when State is selected.By selecting Actuate, a socket delay time in milliseconds can be added withthe Up Arrow. Zero is the default.An actuator duration is set automatically for each Socket Adapter type. Usethe Act. Duration command to manually reset the delay value in milliseconds.The new value will be retained in memory until a different adapteris installed. The default is zero. A few special Socket Adapters have a longduration incorporating double opening and closing action.3Cycling the PNP ProbesThe most frequently used utility is likely to be the Probe operations. TheProbe menu selections allow the system supervisor to raise and lower eachof the probes, turn vacuum on and off to the probe tip, and turn positive pressure(puff) air on and off to the probe tip.For correct speed settingsee “Adjusting and BalancingProbe Speed” in theService <strong>Manual</strong>.To cycle the PNP probes:1. Press the Menu button until the top level menu is displayed.2. Scroll to and select Robot Diagnostics.3. Scroll to and select Probe X , where X is the probe number to becycled.4. Scroll to and select Position.5. Press the Up Arrow or Down Arrow buttons to toggle UP/DOWN.Other probe functions, Vacuum, Puff, Vac Sense, and Speed, can beviewed or toggled with the Up Arrow or Down Arrow buttons also. Forexample: when Speed is selected for probe #1, and a device is present at thepick point, then probe #1 will move down and up intermittently, and displaythe speed in the Control Panel screen. Press Menu to stopHead PositionWhen the head is homed and Head Position is selected from the Robot Diagnosticsmenu, the display shows approximately 0 ( ±20 ).Programmer DiagnosticsPROGRAMMER DIAGS is another menu that the system supervisor may use.With the exception of Continuity Loop, all items listed after Exercise Displayare for displaying the results of a diagnostic test using the DiagnosticAdapter Board (DAB), model name RR-DIAG ADAPTER. The DABdetects problems related to programmer hardware failure—the WaveformCircuit Board and BackPlane Circuit Board.
