Troubleshooting • Problems, but no Error Message •• –Symptom Possible Cause Corrective ActionDevices hit Socket Adapter (andpossibly fall off the probe) as thehead starts to move.Devices rotate excessively on theconveyor belt.Devices run off the end of the belt.Emergency Stop release causes<strong>RoadRunner</strong> to emit a high pitchsqueal.Error message “Device pick failureon probe X at input” is displayedwhen the pocket is empty.Probe-raising speed is too slow.• Dust or dirt on the conveyor belt.• Incorrect conveyor drive belt tensionon models with cog drive.• Conveyor drop-height is incorrectThe End-of-Belt Sensor optic isadjusted too high and is allowingdevices to pass under it, or it is malfunctioning.The PNP head has been moved along distance from its position priorto pushing the E-Stop and cannotrecover.The probe vacuum sensors are notproperly adjusted.• Adjust the probe-raising speed.See “Adjusting Probe RaisingSpeed” in the Service <strong>Manual</strong>.• Travel Delay is too short. See“Resetting Pick Delay and TravelDelay Times” in the Service manual.• Clean the conveyor belt.
