The computerised VIES manages theflow of the data held across national VAT administrations, whileenabling them to monitor and control the flow of intra-Communitytrade and to detect all kinds of irregularities.The system enables enterprises to obtain rapid confirmation of theVAT numbers of their trading partners. It provides facilitiesfor browsing, searching and sorting procurement notices by country,region, business sector and more.
