PT MUTUAGUNG LESTARIPUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENTDated: Agust 26 th , 2011Notification on RSPO Certification Annual Surveillance of MINAMAS Plantation – SIME DARBY GROUP(PT Indotruba Tengah – Sekunyir POM)Dear Stakeholders,MINAMAS Plantation has applied to Mutuagung Lestari for Annual Surveillance at PT Indotruba Tengah – Sekunyir PalmOil Mill and its supply based, located in District of Kotawaringin Barat and Kotawaringin Timur, Province of CentralKalimanatan against the requirement of the SPO Standard i.e. National Interpretation of Roundtable Sustainable PalmOil, Principles and Criteria (RSPO INA – NIWG, May 2008) Republic of Indonesia and Supply Chain Requirment forCPO Mill.MINAMAS Plantation owned and operated 23 palm oil mills and 68 estates throughout Indonesia. The organization is apioneer member of RSPO and has been taking an active role in the RSPO certification processes. MINAMAS Plantationis implementing programme to achieve RSPO Certified Sustainable Palm Oil for all of its production by 31 December2011. Currently there were 8 mills under Minamas Plantation have been certified.PT Indotruba Tengah has been certified (No. MUTU – RSPO/001) Since 23 November 2010 and expired Certificate of23 November 2015. As a private national company and supported with highly committed professionals, MUTUhas gained recognition nationally and internationally. Since June 2003, MUTU has received recognition from the Ministryof Agriculture, Forestry, and Fishery of Japan (MAFF) as registered overseas certification body (ROCB). MUTU certifyand mark products with Japan agriculture standard (JAS) covering Indonesia, Myanmar, Cambodia, Malaysia, Vietnam,Timor Leste, Philippines, Papua New Guinea and China. MUTU is the first ROCB in Asia. National AccreditationCommittee has accredited MUTU as Quality Management System certification body (ISO 9001; 2008) andEnvironmental Management System certification body (ISO 14001;2004). Indonesia Ecolabelling Institute (LEI) has alsoaccredited MUTU as Sustainable Forest Management System certification body. Since June 2008, MUTU has beenapproved by RSPO Executive Board as a RSPO certification body.The assessor team for the certification assessment will consist of as minimum 1 (one) lead auditor and 2 (two) auditormembers which have competencies in legal, social environment, and best management practices.PT.
