The win clinched the NCAC championship for <strong>Ohio</strong> <strong>Wesleyan</strong>,the Battling Bishops’ second straight, fifth in the last 6 years, and18th overall in the 26 seasons of NCAC competition. <strong>Ohio</strong> <strong>Wesleyan</strong>won the No. 1 seed in the NCAC tournament.SCORING LEADERS: Tr.Wall 2-0, Ty. The Bishops struck quickly, earning a pairof corner kicks during the first 80 seconds of play. After the secondcorner, shots by Tyler Wall and Travis Wall were blocked, but Greenescored from a scramble in front of the Gator net to give <strong>Ohio</strong> <strong>Wesleyan</strong>a 1-0 lead. The win was <strong>Ohio</strong> <strong>Wesleyan</strong>’s 23rd in a row in NCACcompetition, tying the conference record set by <strong>Ohio</strong> <strong>Wesleyan</strong> from1998-2001. <strong>Ohio</strong> <strong>Wesleyan</strong> finished the regular season allowing only2 goals to set an NCAA all-divisions record for fewest goals allowedin regular-season play, bettering the mark of 3 set by Macalester(Minn.) in 1997 and matched by York (Pa.) in 2008. The previous <strong>Ohio</strong><strong>Wesleyan</strong> record was 5 goals allowed in 16 games during the 2006season. The shutout was the 17th of the season for the BattlingBishops, breaking the school record of 16 set in 1991. Wall’s shot was saved, but Halloran followed the play andscored on the putback for a 1-0 <strong>Ohio</strong> <strong>Wesleyan</strong> lead. <strong>Ohio</strong> <strong>Wesleyan</strong>added to its lead in the 64th minute when Eric Francis sent the ballto Harmanis, who finished inside the right post to make it 2-0.
