Besides circulating inChina, it touches Borneo, Australia, Honolulu andCalifornia. Its stated object has been to cement theunion between the various German mission membersand to instruct and upbuild them in knowledge andChristian character.China sYoung Men. Y. M. C. A. Aggressive efforts were made throughout theyear to widen the influence of the Chinese edition ofChina sYoung Men, the paid circulation of which grewfrom 3,700 in January to 5,279 in December. A largermeasure of self-support was also secured through anincrease in advertising, and on the purely mechanicalside of its production and distribution the magazine hasceased to be a financial burden to the committee.The Morning Star, fortnightly, mandarin, issuedby the Industrial Mission, Chefoo, $0.60 a year, hasrecently entered the field.The various universities and colleges now have theirown organs.W.
