Whateverimprovised weapon the Ratkin seizes may be usedto make difficulty 6, Strength + 2 attacks, with damagetype determined by the prop in question.• Persecution Complex (Level Four) — As theStargazer Gift: Preternatural Awareness.• Blessed Frenzy (Level Five) — As the StargazerGift: Circular Attack.Ratkin Engineer Gifts• Control Simple Machine (Level One) — As theGlass Walker Gift.• Open Seal (Level One) — As the Ragabash Gift.• Trash is Treasure (Level One) — As the BoneGnawer Gift.• Mousetrap (Level Two) — The Engineer is at hisbest when at his worst. Able to call up an uncanny burstof ingenuity when up against the wall, this Gift allowshim to build a trap out of anything at hand. This gift istaught by a packrat-spirit.System: The player spends a point of Gnosis androlls Wits + Craft — the difficulty depends on how muchspare material is laying around to work with. Success allowsthe Ratkin to McGyver together some manner ofinsane death trap in (15 – Cunning) minutes.• Power Surge (Level Two) — As the Glass WalkerGift.• Control Complex Machine (Level Three) — Asthe Glass Walker Gift.• Electroshock (Level Three) — As the GlassWalker Gift.• Battery (Level Four) — The Ratkin Engineerscrambles together some means of energizing himselfor other wererats. This is likely to involve a mixture ofelectricity, packs of store-bought batteries, energy drinks,illegal drugs — or a fusion of all of the above. This Giftis taught by a squirrel-spirit.System: The player rolls Wits + Craft and spendsone point of Gnosis to create the “pick-me-up,” whichthen may be administered at any point within the next(Cunning) days; after that, it loses its potency. The Gift’sbeneficiary may increase a physical Attribute by one pertwo successes rolled, for the duration of a scene.• Death Ray (Level Five) — The wererat can dischargeenergy through his fingertips. Granted, he needsto hook himself up to a car battery or wall outlet for afew hours a day, but hey — Death Ray. So worth it. Anelectric elemental teaches this Gift.System: The character must spend at least an hour“meditating” while attached to a supply of electricity.Afterwards, the player spends one Gnosis point androlls Infamy (difficulty 6) to aim the Death Ray. It hasa range of 50 feet, and inflicts (Rage + Gnosis) dice ofaggravated damage. The Death Ray can be shot onceper hour spent “juicing up.”Plague Lord Gifts• Poison Food (Level One) — The Plague Lordmay afflict food around him with a terrible pestilence.Fly-spirits teach this Gift.System: The player spends one Gnosis point androlls Intelligence + Enigmas. All food within (Infamy x5) feet of the character becomes temporarily poisonous,inflicting (successes) lethal damage to anyone that eatsit during that scene.• Sniffle (Level One) — Germs, microbes, andeven the dust in the air conspire to protect the PlagueLord, betraying the presence of his enemies. This Giftis taught by a disease-spirit.System: The player spends one Gnosis point whenshe suspects there are others lurking nearby. Any concealedcharacter within (Infamy x 3) yards sneezes,coughs, or otherwise gives away their position.• Toxic Hate (Level One) — As the metis Gift:Primal Anger.189
