Additionally, ong>theong> proportion of nonusersreportong>inong>g fertility-related reasons ong>inong>creased from2001 to 2006. The second major reason for not usong>inong>gcontraception was method-related reasons (17%): healthconcerns, fear of side effects, lack of access ong>andong> ong>inong>convenientto use. The third major reason related to non-use wasopposition to use: respondent opposed, husbong>andong> opposed,religious prohibition ong>andong> fatalistic view (see Table 5). Keystakeholder ong>inong>terviews reflected ong>theong>se reasons for nonuse.Oong>theong>r reasons for not usong>inong>g contraception given bykey stakeholders ong>inong>cluded ong>theong> cultural value of conceivong>inong>gsoon after marriage, shortage of human resources, lack ofadequate family plannong>inong>g counsellong>inong>g, shortage of suppliesof certaong>inong> methods ong>inong> certaong>inong> areas ong>andong> lack of ong>inong>tegrationof family plannong>inong>g ong>inong>to every aspect of health care. In termsof reasons for not usong>inong>g short-term methods, such as pillsong>andong> condoms, key stakeholders suggested that takong>inong>g pillsevery day is cumbersome or tedious, ong>andong> women may nothave ong>theong> time or transportation to keep gettong>inong>g refills, plus176
