WHAT IS
AIESEC?
AIESEC is a global youth network impacting the world
through leadership development experiences. Present
in over 126 countries and territories, and with over 86,
000 members, AIESEC is the world's largest youth-run
organisation.
In a world where we face many different global
challenges at different times, we believe the solution is
to develop responsible and entrepreneurial young
leaders today who will choose how the world will be
like tomorrow.
The way we do this is unlike anyone else in the world.
We provide practical leadership experiences by living
and delivering international exchange programs that
develop leadership in others. In doing so, young people
are exposed to a global learning environment where
they have the confidence to learn and the freedom to
fall. With 65 years of experience, AIESEC is committed to
creating changes agents that will make a positive
impact on society.

WHAT IS THE
GLOBAL LEADER
PROGRAM?
The Global Leader program is a practical team
experience that develops leadership abilities
through running a global organisation.
In the program, you will first join AIESEC at your
university campus as a team member, opening up
further opportunities to build your leadership
journey.
Global Leader provides you with valuable
opportunities to:
- Apply your university education in a practical
experience.
- Increase global awareness and cultural
understanding
- Build both a local and global network with likeminded
youth
- Personalise your own leadership development
journey

STUDENT DEVELOPMENT
LEADERSHIP IN...
Develop yourself whilst helping develop others! The Student
Development role allows you to work directly with students in order to
provide them with development experiences. You will be:
- Facilitating our global exchange programs,
- Creating life-changing experiences for students, both locally, and
globally,
- Working in a team of like-minded individuals who are passionate
about making an impact on society,
- Learning the practical and professional side of social change
You may be interested in: Outgoing Exchange (oGIP and oGCDP)
ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Gain practical skills in managing the internal processes of an organisation
in order to support it's operations and gain first hand experience
supporting organisational capacity growth. In this role, you will can:
- Gain experience in the fields of HR, Marketing or Finance,
- Supplement theoretical knowledge with strategic insights into
business operations and achieve organisational goals
You may be interested in: Talent Management, Finance or Marketing
EXTERNAL RELATIONS
Build your business accumen by managing relations with our external
stakeholders. Have the opportunity to engage with companies or faculties
and provide them with business solutions, helping AIESEC expand it's
reach to amplify the organisation's impact. In this role, you will can:
- Enhance your understanding of companies and organisations
- Develop a more entrepreneurial mindset and increase your networking
and sales skills

STUDENT DEVELOPMENT
Outgoing Community Development Program
(oGCDP)
Outgoing Exchange Officers in this team facilitate and deliver
AIESEC's overseas volunteer program, providing students the
opportunity to develop their leadership by volunteering abroad
and making a positive impact on overseas communities.
oGCDP Officers will assess and recruit students with a volunteer
program that suits their preferences, preparing them for an
exchange experience of a lifetime. From the moment a student
becomes interested in the program, we assist them on a 1-on-1
basis throughout the whole application process and predeparture
prepation, until the student returns from home.
Outgoing Global Internship Program (oGIP)
Outgoing Exchange Officers in this team facilitate and deliver
AIESEC's professional internships and work placements for
graduates and students, providing students the opportunity to
develop their leadership through longer-term professional
experiences in global workplaces.
oGIP Officers will be primarily involved with engagement and
marketing events, working with university facilities and societies
and helping spread awareness of the program through oncampus
information sessions. They will then assess and recruit
students with an internship program that suits their preferences,
help them with their applications, visas and accommodation
whilst they are abroad.

ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Marketing
This is a dynamic team for the creative minds and intelligent
strategists! Marketing Officers translate research and analysis
into campaigns that attract our student and corporate market.
We ask outselves, how can we better reach our target markets,
and pull their interests towards AIESEC? As a member of this
portfolio you will have the chance to create and execute
marketing campaigns for our 3 programs: Global Leader, Global
Talent and Global Citizen.
Talent Management
This team aims to strategically drive the Local Committee through
its human resources. Talent Management Officers are directly
responsible for the learning and development of members,
through training, coaching and tracking processes according to
the different engagement levels, needs and goals. You will be
equipping members with the necessary skills to carry out their
own role through training and rewards program. Join Talent
Management if you are interested in HR and
developing interpersonal skills, communications, talent planning,
event management, and so much more!
Finance
Finance Officers are responsible for managing the financial
resources of our Local Commitee. They are also responsible for
conducting financial analysis and evluating the financial health of
the Committee, in order to manage and prevent liquidy issues.
This team is highly strategic, requiring crucial analysis of
performance data to improve the involvements and organisational
goal achievements. They will engage in ROI analysis and promote
sustainable financial activity.

EXTERNAL RELATIONS
Incoming Global Internship Program (iGIP)
The Incoming Global Internship Program provides Australian
businesses access to the global network of talented and
passionate youth, who can add diversity and innovation to their
organisation.
The Incoming Exchange Portfolio creates partnerships and
develops relationships with external organisations and
companies to provide placements where these global youth can
offer their skills and services, while also developing responsible
and entrepreneurial leadership in a global environment.
Members as Business Development Officers, develop
negotiation and communication skills to develop partnerships,
as well as stakeholder and resource management skills to
deliver exchange experiences.

OUR
EXPECTATIONS
As a member of AIESEC in RMIT, successful applicants will each have
their roles and responsibilities within the organisation. Different roles
will have different responsibilities, but ultimately, each member is
responsible for delivering their key responsibilitie and adhere to
guidelines in their respective portfolios to ensure operations run
smoothly.
TIME COMMITMENT
There will be a handful of set times a week where attendance by
members are required (other than functional work). They are as
follows:
Total Time Commitment: Approx. 10 hours per week, including:
- Weekly Local Committee Meetings: 2 hours per week (Wed, 5.30 -
7.30pm)
- Team Meetings: 1 hour per week
- Functional Meeting (if applicable): 1 hour per week
- Engagement with AIESEC events throughout the year (variable)
You are also expected to notify your Vice President of assessments,
etc. in advance if you will be busy, so that they can adjust tasks
accordingly. Please be aware that your commitment is crucial to the
organisation's operations being successful.
INDUCTION CONFERENCE
There will be a 3-day State Conference across the 14th - 16th of August.,
where all the Local Chapters of AIESEC in VIC will come together (The
University of Melbourne, RMIT, and Monash University). The conference
will induct you into the organisation and equip you with the necessary
skills and training as a member. It will be your first step into utlisizing
AIESEC's International network of young leaders, starting with the VIC
region and progressing beyond.

* Note: You may not be assigned your portfolio preferences if we
feel you can grow more somewhere else, although they will be
taken into account.
2. Assessment Centre and Interviews
If successful, you will sit an Assessment Centre with other
candidates and an individual interview with your preferred
portfolios Directors to determine organisational fit.
You will be assessed on numerous criteria , including, but not
limited to, global mindset, entrepreneurial outlook, emotional
intelligence, and proactive learning.
If you are unsuccessful, you will be notified via email and are
welcome to seek feedback.
3. Induction
If you are accepted, there will be a compulsory 3 day Induction
Conference Camp where you will receive initial training in your role.
It will also be a chance for you to meet other recruits from across
VIctoria and those who you will be working with throughout the
semester.
