PRIMA DUODouble-Eccentric Butterfly Valves type L 32.7General Information:The butterfly valves are up-to-date industrial valves which, at present, have increasinglybeen replacing low-pressure gate valves, valves and ball valves. They are mainly usedowing to the advantages such as small face to face dimensions and low weight.Application:The L 32.7 double-eccentric butterfly valves are industrial valves designed to open fullyor close fully the passage for a working medium flowing through a pipeline. They can alsobe used for flow-control purposes. However, a 100 % tightness of the valve can not beguaranteed in a long-term use for control purposes. The butterfly valves can be used ina wide range of applications, for the following media in particular:■ waste and service water■ drinking water■ hot water and steam of a temperature up to 250 ˚C■ non-aggressive liquids and gases (natural gas, CO-gas, petroleum products, etc.)A maximum working temperature of the butterfly valve depends on the packing materialused and is determined according to the Temperature and Pressure Dependence Chart. The L 32.7 typewith manual gearTechnical description:The L 32.6 butterfly valve has been designed as a double-eccentric valve (the control spindle axis is eccentric to the packing axis andpassage axis). The closing disc is eccentrically embedded in the valve body and attached to the control spindle and pivot which are pivoted inself-lubricating sliding bearings. The spindle is packed with gland packing rings while the spindle is packed with an asbestos-free packing. The majorpacking ring is attached to the disc using a thrust ring. In the "closed" position the disc is pushed against the conical seat due to the pressure causedby the working medium which ensures a total tightness in that direction. As for both A and B variants (DN 80 to 125), the major packing ringis attached in the body using the thrust ring. In the "closed" position, the disc is pushed against the conical seat due to the pressure caused by theworking medium, which ensures a total tightness in that direction. The packing seats on a conical area of the valve seat made of a stainless steel. In the "closed" position, the conical area of the disc is pushed against the packing due to the pressure caused by the working medium which ensuresa total tightness in that direction. For all the valve variants, however, the valve tightness is limited in the opposite flow direction.Connection:Flanged, welded and wafer-type valves are available.Flanged valves type: - connection according to DIN 2501- face to face dimensions according to EN 558-1, Series 14Wafer-type valves: - connection according to DIN 2501- face to face dimensions according to EN 558-1, Series 16Two variants of wafer-type valves with dimensions ranging between DN 80 and DN 125 are available."A" variant: wafer-type valves without guide eyes"B" variant: wafer-type valves with tapped holes for connectingWelded valves:Valve Testing:- connection according to the customer requirementsThe valves are tested according to ISO 5208/DIN 3230 (ČSN 13 3060, Part 2)Mounting into Pipeline:The butterfly valves can be mounted in a horizontal, vertical or inclined pipeline so that the arrow stamped in the valve body corresponds to the flowdirection of the medium and the valve disc rotation axis is in a horizontal position. During mounting, the spindle-area bolt type must be considered. The charts below show where stud bolts must be used for wafer-type valves (the bolt length depends on the counter-flanges used). Whenan actuator is mounted, it will be important to adjust the valve disc end positions (the "open" and "closed" positions).Actuator Options:The butterfly valves can be operated by:■ manual gear■ electric actuator■ pneumatic or hydraulic actuator■ remote control mounted in a standThe L32.7 type with bare shaft10
