Public Hearing for Public Transportation Capital Assistance GrantChairman Shaw opened the public meeting. County Administrator, Jeff Wilkins stated that the application is in thepacket. The county received a letter from IDOT to formally apply for the vehicles. Part of the application includes arouting software program. There is not a timeline for the delivery of the vehicles.Todd Milliron, 61 Cotswold Dr, Yorkville stated that at the last public hearing he asked how much of a subsidy thatwas being paid for KAT, he has yet to receive the information.Chairman Shaw closed the hearing.Resolution for Public Transportation Capital Assistance GrantMember Wehrli moved to approve the Resolution authorizing the submittal of the application for a PublicTransportation Capital Assistance Grant under the authority of the Illinois Department of Transportation. MemberKoukol seconded the motion. Chairman Shaw asked for a roll call vote on the motion. All members present votingaye. Motion carried.Appendix D: Governing Board ResolutionResolutionNo.13-16Resolution authorizing submittal of the application dated May 21, 2013 for a Public Transportation CapitalAssistance Grant under the Illinois Department of Transportation’s general authority to make such Grants.WHEREAS, The provision and improvement of public transportation facilities, rolling stock, equipment andservices is essential to the development of safe, efficient, functional public transportation; andWHEREAS, The Illinois Department of Transportation has the authority to make such Grants and makes fundsavailable to offset eligible capital costs required for providing and improving public transportation facilities, rollingstock, equipment and services; andWHEREAS, Grants for said funds will impose certain obligations upon the recipient.NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GOVERNING BOARD OF THE COUNTY OF KENDALL :Section 1. That an application be made to the Division of Public & Intermodal Transportation, Department ofTransportation, State of Illinois (The Department), for a financial assistance grant under the Illinois Department ofTransportation’s general authority to make such Grants, for the purpose of off-setting eligible public transportationcapital costs of the County of Kendall.Section 2. That the County Administrator of the County of Kendall is hereby authorized and directed to sign andsubmit such application on behalf of the County of Kendall.Section 3. That the County Administrator of the County of Kendall is authorized to furnish such additionalinformation as may be required by the Department in connection with the aforesaid application for said Grant.Section 4. That County Administrator of the County of Kendall is hereby authorized and directed to execute onbehalf of the County of Kendall the Grant Agreement or subsequent Grant Agreement Amendments resulting fromaforesaid application.Section 5.
