The Water Conmittae Baseline Survey is used to obtain<br />

information of tfra composition and organization of the committee<br />

formed to coordinate corn-ity <strong>part</strong>icipation and wall management<br />

activities. It is used to record agreements between the<br />

camunity and WDA in regard ku local contributions of labor and<br />

resources during and after the installation of the pump. While<br />

the primary use of baseline data is to accurately describe<br />

conditions which are expected to change when the well is<br />

completed, the infonation is also used to assist in the<br />

selection of cornunities fcr well projects, the selection OX the<br />

we11 $it% village within a target zone and, to validate data<br />

from ather sources.<br />
