<strong>Volunteer</strong> <strong>Role</strong> <strong>Description</strong> and Specification<strong>Role</strong> Title: <strong>Volunteer</strong> AmbassadorMain Purpose of the role:As a <strong>Volunteer</strong> Ambassador for the One Good Reason Campaign, you willencourage people who are 50+ to get involved in volunteering.This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference to the currentvolunteering trends in Northern Ireland and to help increase the quality of lifeof many people who are 50+.If you love volunteering and feel that volunteering has improved your life, bysharing your experience you can help others to discover their One GoodReason to volunteer.What does the role involve?Attending community events to promote volunteeringGiving information on volunteering to the public via information standsSharing your experience through talking to older people’s groups andindividuals.Full support will be provided by a local Unlocking Potential team memberWho would be suitable for this role?This role would be suited to someone who has good communication skills,enjoys meeting new people working as a part of a team.Applicants should already volunteer or have volunteered in the past and bewilling to use the benefits of this experience to encourage others to getinvolved.Applicants should be aged 50+ and have access to their own transport or theability to use public transport.When?Time commitment will be at the discretion of the volunteer. Events may takeplace during the day, in evenings and weekends. <strong>Volunteer</strong>s will be able toindicate when they are available. Minimum commitment of 2 hours per month.


Where?Various venues across your local community.
