The Haven<br />

Anyone in London who has been raped or sexually<br />

assaulted can come to a Haven. Women, men and<br />

children can all attend. The Havens, have specially<br />

trained, experienced pr<strong>of</strong>essionals who can give<br />

you:<br />

• medical help and advice<br />

• counselling<br />

• practical and emotional support<br />

• disabled access.<br />

The Havens can help you through the immediate<br />

trauma and guide you along the road to recovery.<br />

They can help you decide what you want to do next,<br />

like whether you want to talk to the police or have<br />

any health checks.<br />

Black Women’s Rape Action Project<br />

Provides information for black, ethnic minority,<br />

immigrant, migrant and refugee women in Britain<br />

who have suffered rape, racist sexual assault, or<br />

other forms <strong>of</strong> violence and harassment. It also<br />

includes women who want asylum after being<br />

raped in their country <strong>of</strong> origin. They provide selfhelp,<br />

information, counselling and legal help.<br />
