EDWARD NOOTT rbsa20th Anniversary Exhibition15th – 30th September 2012INVITATIONThe Direc<strong>to</strong>rs of <strong>John</strong> <strong>Noott</strong> <strong>Galleries</strong> cordially invite you and your friends <strong>to</strong> meet the artist at the opening of<strong>this</strong> exhibition on Saturday 15th September between 11am and 5pm. Champagne will be served.It has been twenty years since my first show in Broadway. Over <strong>this</strong> period I’ve attempted different subject matter and have also returned <strong>to</strong> familiarthemes. I have enjoyed the challenge of painting ‘en plein air’, and learnt <strong>to</strong> trust myself working from studies in the studio. I feel that I haveacquired skills and techniques along the way <strong>to</strong> express my vision, and am grateful that I’ve not lost my enthusiasm or delight in picture making.I would like <strong>to</strong> take <strong>this</strong> opportunity <strong>to</strong> thank everyone who has supported me over the years, and look forward <strong>to</strong> twenty more years of painting.Born in 1965, Edward studied at Cheltenham College of Art, Trent University and the State University of New York. His work has been displayed inmany exhibitions both in England and the USA. Awards include the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists Open Exhibition Best Painting and the RoyalWest of England Academy Purchase Prize by a painting bought by the University of Wales for their permanent collection.
