Nevertheless, more than two thirds of your people live below the poverty line; hungerstruck your nation in 2002 when nearly 3 million Zambians faced severe food shortages and extremehunger; and your economic growth rate cannot support the rapid population growth that is fueled by atotal fertility rate that has remained unchanged since times immemorial at 6 children per woman. Thismeans that unless you institute an effective population control program without delay you will soon facefamine again and will never escape the poverty trap.In 2002, in the hour of your need, the international community came to your aid with sterilizing GMOs tofeed the hungry, which the government of the time was smart to reject.
