As a result, the total fertility rate has decreased from 6.5children per woman prior to 1990 to 5.4 children today. The urban fertility rate, where thepeople’s reproductive systems can be more easily subverted through endocrine disruptorsinserted in food and beverages as well as through surgical sterilization and injectablecontraceptives administered coercively or involuntarily, the total fertility is at 3.7 children perwoman.Following the prescriptions of the Maternal and Child Health Integrated Program (MCHIP), aninternational meeting convened in 2013, Tanzania has also accelerated its 2011 initiatedPostpartum Intrauterine Contraceptive Device (PPIUCD) program in order to integrate the use ofintrauterine devices (IUD) into maternal health services to prevent births for up to 12 years withcopper IUCD 380-A devices.827 | P a g e
