People must know what the government’s objectives are and what they are expected to do asindividuals to realize these objectives. Absent such clarity and openness your government isassuming powers it is not entitled to and committing genocide. If you continue to commitgenocide your will become victims of your own abuse of power, for those who live by the sworddie by the sword.Having said this, I want to give the Sri Lankan political establishment credit for refusing tosubject its people to covert chemical sterilization, as the West has done. You have protectedyour people from severe and irreparable damage to their genetic and intellectual endowment andare enabling all your people, without discrimination, to have two children. By comparison,western countries have shut down the reproductive systems of a quarter of the population and arediscriminating against the poor, the weak and the foreign.As one of only 25 biodiversity hotspots in the world and the Asian country with the highestbiodiversity in Asia you have a lot of natural wealth to protect, but must do so by including notexcluding your human capital.If you do not change course, Sri Lanka will continue to be a killing field and you will presideover never-ending conflict and ever-growing brutality and will know neither peace norprosperity.Your island nation has a proud and dignified history and you will only do it justice by being thefirst nation in south Asia to control its population by law. Until such time, your democracy iscounterfeit, your security an illusion, and your prosperity the eye of the storm.Since national population control legislation would be greatly facilitated by designatingreplacement level fertility a Planetary Security Prerogative, I hope that you will join me in myeffort to create global consensus for just such a policy move at the global governance level.
