Its total fertility rate has since decreased from 7 children per woman to 3. This decrease infertility is not the result of family planning, of which there is an unmet need of 48%, or the result ofcontraceptive use, since the contraceptive prevalence rate is just 28%, but rather the result of importedfood and beverages deliberately adulterated with endocrine disruptors, which the people of Samoa havebecome dependent on and consume in ever greater quantities.With a population of 195.000 and a population density of 63.2/km 2 , land pressures and increasing fooddependence population control is a necessity not a choice. But it need not be accomplished with unlawfuland immoral methods by turning the basic elements of life into weapons of mass sterility and in theprocess doing irreparable harm to human health, as the incredibly high obesity and diabetes rates amongthe Samoan people clearly demonstrate.If the Samoan government continues to cooperate with the UN and the international community incovertly subverting the people’s reproductive rights there will not be a healthy human being on the islandsfifty years from now and the Polynesian people as a whole will disappear from the face of the earth.This is not the way to accomplish necessary demographic targets. Only by legislating replacement levelfertility can the people’s rights and health be reconciled with the planet’s limited resources. That is why Iask you to join me in calling for replacement level fertility worldwide as a Planetary Security Prerogativederived from the global governance level and implemented throughout the world openly, justly andsafely.
