As aresult, the total fertility rate declined from almost 7 children per woman to 1.5 today.Forced abortions and sterilizations were used from 1960 until the early 1980s by western NGOs operatingon the island. Throughout the 80s and the 90s fertility was suppressed through the heavy use of pesticidesand chemicals in local agriculture, which was not as effective in controlling population growth butnevertheless continued the downward slope in the total fertility rate. From the 90s onward, populationcontrol has continued through the use of fluoridated salt, fluoride rinse programs in schools, and fluoridesupplements distributed at maternal and child health clinics. In addition, the people’s fertility has beenincreasingly subverted through imported foods and beverages that are laced with endocrine disruptorssince the island has stopped being able to feed itself in the early 1990s, having favored its service over itsagricultural sector, and as of 2010 a quarter of the population is food insecure and more than half of itsfood imported.Because food is now the main weapon used against fertility, the people’s endocrine systems are shatteredand nearly 60% are obese despite suffering food insecurity, a paradox noted by a recent Food SecurityAssessment and Vulnerability Profiling (FSA) report.If your government continues in this fashion, no one on the island will be healthy a couple of decadesfrom now, none of your people will be able to have children and none of the officials responsible forcommitting crimes against humanity will go unpunished. That is why I urge you to stop committinggenocide and to begin legislating replacement level fertility. I am in the process of forging globalconsensus for open and legally mandated population control at the global governance level as a PlanetarySecurity Prerogative and I hope that you will assist me by speaking up at the UN in favor of a worldwidepopulation control law.
