Since Namibia’s contraceptive prevalence rate until the end of 1980 was near zero and during the1990s was below 30%, one can only conclude that the drastic reduction in fertility from 1979 to2005 has absolutely nothing to do with the use of contraceptives and everything to do with theuse of involuntary methods of sterilization, most likely adulterated vaccines.Abortion is a non-factor in Namibia’s fertility decline as it is illegal and allowed only in thoserare circumstances when it is necessary to save a woman’s life or when the pregnancy is theresult of rape or incest.Namibia too has been rewarded for its genocidal acts with a growing per capita GDP, whichbegan to rise rapidly when fertility had already declined substantially at the beginning of the 21 stcentury (from 6.5 to 3.5 children per woman).Namibia is in stage three of the demographic transition.566 | P a g e
