Between 1947 and 1963 the Allied Powers suppressed Italy’s total fertility rate at around 2.5children per woman. Italy joined the Global Depopulation Policy of its own volition in 1964, butdid not fully engage depopulation measures until 1968 when Pope Paul VI issued the encyclicalletter Humanae Vitae (Of Human Life) and gave secular authorities the Church’s tacit approvalfor the use of covert methods of population control aimed at preventing the moment ofconception so the Church would not have to alter its anti-birth control stance and thus nullify theDoctrine of Papal Infallibility.Starting from an already low fertility of just 2.5 children per woman, Italy attained replacementlevel fertility in 1976 and a lowest low of 1.2 children per woman in 1995. The total fertility ratehas remained below 1.5 children per woman since 1984 and due to this extended subreplacementlevel fertility Italy’s population has been decreasing since 1993 and is currentlylosing more than 85,000 people a year because deaths far outstrip births.Despite falling use of contraceptives, Italy’s fertility has failed to recover and to this day is at alow of 1.4 children per woman. It has failed to recover because fertility is undermined throughcovert chemical means and contraceptive use has little or nothing to do with low subreplacementlevel fertility. If Italy does not stop poisoning its people with endocrine disruptors, there will soon be no children left for Pope Francis and his successors to bless.376 | P a g e
