India has struggled to control its population growth since 1952, but has not had any success untilthe seventies, partly because it is a massive country with a massive population and partly becauseits people are too kind to employ the cruelty necessary for a successful population controlprogram.Due to India’s unique culture and deep moral values, the country’s leadership has refused topoison its people and has relied instead on surgical sterilization (tubal ligations for women andvasectomies for men), which requires a great deal of effort and can only stop population growthif every woman is sterilized after the second child.India was the first country in the world to formulate a population control policy in 1952 and thefirst to declare a state of emergency due to overpopulation in 1976-77. India is also one of only afew countries (such as China and Vietnam) to have an open National Policy for populationcontrol since the year 2000, which states clearly that replacement level fertility is its goal.India and China are the models to which the rest of the world will need to look up when thecurrent covert Global Depopulation Policy is brought out into the open, as it must, andapproached through open and legal means.350 | P a g e
