Georgians were never a particularly fertile people and when the Soviets introduced covertpopulation control measures in Georgia in 1965 the total fertility rate was brought down from analready low level of 3 children per woman to 2.5 in less than 5 years.Georgia joined the Global Depopulation Policy on its own when it won its independence fromthe Soviet Union in 1991 and adopted the same methods of covert depopulation as the West, namely sterilization by water, beverages and food adulterated with endocrine disruptors. Thisstarted with the first democratically elected President of Georgia, Zviad Gamsakhurdia (1991-1992) and continued with Eduard Shevardnadze (1995-2003), Nino Burjanadze (2007-2008),Mikheil Saakashvili (2008-2013), and the incumbent Giorgi Margvelashvili. The historical record shows that 50% of all pregnancies ended in abortion during the 1970s and44% during the 1980s when Soviet methods of population control prevailed.
