As a country bordering the Iron Curtain, Finland was forced to introduce covert methods ofdepopulation a couple of years after the end of World War II. As such, Finland experienced nobaby boom generation and reached replacement level fertility in 1969, earlier than all otherwestern European nations, and a lowest low of 1.5 children per woman in 1973.All Finnish leaders post World War II, starting with Prime Minister Mauno Pekkala andPresident Juho Kusti Paasikivi and up to the present day, have been poisoning their people to lowfertility.When correlating Finland’s drop in fertility with its contraceptive prevalence rate over thedecades it becomes painfully obvious that contraceptives are not responsible for the decrease infertility. During the forties and fifties there were no contraceptives to speak of and fertilitydropped due to covert chemical sterilization from 3.5 to 2.7 by the end of the fifties.
