Since 1980, the government has used covert depopulation measures to ensure that native Fijiansregain majority in their country over Fijians of Indian descent, who were brought to the islandsby the British to work the cane fields. Indigenous Fijians have regained majority by suppressingthe fertility rate of the Indo-Fijians, who live mostly in urban centers, with fluoridated water.With a contraceptive prevalence rate that has never exceeded 44% and no abortions to speak of,the drop in fertility is entirely due to covert chemical sterilization with fluoride and BPA and theodd sterilizing vaccines.Fiji’s efforts on the population control front have born economic fruit for as soon as fertilitybegan to drop in the sixties the GDP began to rise.The per capita GDP gain, however, did not begin to materialize until fertility droppedsubstantially by the 1990s.Fiji is in stage three of the demographic transition.264 | P a g e
