Although a UN founding member, Egypt did not join the Global Depopulation Policy until 1962and has proceeded cautiously so as not to offend the religious and cultural sensibilities of itspeople.Egypt’s population control efforts have come in ten year waves, each wave driven by a differentpresident. In the sixties, President Gamal Abdel Nasser managed to lower the total fertility ratefrom 7 to 6 children per woman. In the seventies, President Anwar Sadat lowered fertilityfurther from 6 to 5 children per woman. And from 1981 to 2011, President Hosni Mubaraksucceeded in shaving off one more child from Egypt’s total fertility rate bringing it down to 3.Over the past four years of political turmoil, the depopulation program has taken a backseat andthe total fertility rate has stagnated at 3 children per woman.With a military man now in office, Field Marshal Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the Egyptian people arebeing subjected to covert methods of depopulation via endocrine disruptors; a program thatstarted during the last decade of Hosni Mubarak’s reign.235 | P a g e
