As a result, the population hasexploded from 200.000 in 1950 to 800.000 today, a fourfold increase, and the population densityhas become the 25 th largest in the world at 275 people per square kilometer.With as many as 1000 people per square kilometer in the densest agricultural zones, Comorosfaces economic and environmental catastrophe. Comoros is already one of the world’s poorestcountries with half the population living below the international poverty line and its GDP percapita continuing to decline, which is also why Comoros has not known political stability sinceindependence in 1975 and has experienced more than 20 coups or attempted coups.Whether it wants to or not, Comoros needs to overcome its cultural and religious reservations tobirth control and legislate replacement level fertility. Solving its population pressures throughemigration is no longer possible since receiving countries and people are no longer willing toaccept incomers from Comoros or elsewhere for that matter. Even inter-island migration insideComoros itself is no longer tolerated by the less crowded islands of Mwali and Maore.The alternative is mass starvation and war, or your people will become victims of covert methodsof depopulation instigated by the UN and its western sponsors, methods that will devastate yourpeople and nation. I therefore urge you to act without delay by educating your people toempower them to take responsibility over their reproductive rights and restrict their own familiesto no more than two children.
