Full details about this fantastic event can be found
on pages 44 and 45. A few months ago we
featured an article about the proposed 12 Wind
Turbine Farm on Rooley Moor which will have an
effect on the wildlife as well as spoil the green areas
enjoyed by walkers, bikers and horse riders. Plans
have now been submitted to add another 16
turbines which once again threatens Green Belt
common land. You can read all about it on pages
48 and 49.
In last month’s issue we advertised the Maypole
Event which was organised by Friends of the Park
on 3rd May. The organisers of this should be
congratulated on a great event and there are some
photos and a short summary on page 47.
With our usual contributions from Andrew Nutter,
