MARMÈN
Arezzo, Italy
Marco Mencagli, the talent behind
Marmèn, was raised on his family estate
in Arezzo surrounded by classical art and
architecture. He left Italy to train in New
York, where his own unique style united
classical with modern forms. The bracelets
from Marco’s latest Cosmic Chic collection
combine his heritage of traditional
Italian handcraftsmanship with a very
contemporary look – irregular crystals are
studded against leather for dazzling rockchick
glamour.
AKONG LONDON
London, UK
Self-taught designer Nicole Akong
grew up on a small West Indian
island, where she learnt to create
clothes and jewelry from the
materials around her. The vibrant
Imperial necklace, inspired by
embroidery on ancient Chinese
robes, displays her spontaneous
imagination and shows why she
has become known for pushing the
boundaries of jewelry design.
