Training and Authorisation4 TRAINING AND AUTHORISATIONPRINCIPLE - Persons <strong>work</strong>ing on or near highvoltage <strong>electrical</strong> apparatus shall haveappropriate training, and authorisation <strong>for</strong> theduty to be per<strong>for</strong>med.4.1 GENERALAn organisation’s safe system <strong>of</strong> <strong>work</strong> shall includereference to appropriate training and authorisation<strong>for</strong> all persons <strong>work</strong>ing on or near high voltage<strong>electrical</strong> apparatus.All authorisations shall be reviewed annually by theorganisation to ensure the relevance <strong>of</strong> the authorityto the holder's duties.Persons holding authorisations shall becompetency assessed at no more than 3-yearlyintervals and where appropriate training given torestore competency.Blue Book – December 2005 Page 39 <strong>of</strong> 148
