agencies) and additional toolboxes for the specific housekeeping division’scompetencies.7.2.1 Housekeeping DivisionThe housekeeping division was identified as a priority due to significantemployment opportunities in the region. The toolboxes will be used by tourismtraining and education institutions in <strong>ASEAN</strong> Countries (Certificate II to AdvancedDiploma levels), as a reference to deliver a standardized competency-basedtraining system for the housekeeping division. It will also be used to conductprofessional certification programs for the housekeeping division.7.2.2 Implementation of ToolboxesThe Tourism Professional Certification Boards (TPCB) and National TourismProfessional Boards (NTPB) of respective <strong>ASEAN</strong> Member States are involved in thedevelopment and implementation of the toolboxes. NTPBs will be given theownership of the developed toolboxes and entrusted with the responsibility toensure systematic implementation of the toolboxes in their respective countries.The overall project will contribute to efforts to strengthen the tourism sector, apriority integration sector within the AEC Blueprint, by supporting efforts to buildthe skills of workers in the tourism industry. It will do so by developing trainingmaterials for selected competencies in the tourism industry.7.2.3 Project PhasesThis project has followed two phases.
