If you happen to visit the Museum
of Science in Boston, be sure to stop
by the “Interfaces” exhibit and check
out Bianca Rodriquez ’06. While
you will not actually see Rodriquez,
you will have the opportunity to see
and interact with her likeness in the
36
form of twin virtual docents, Ada and
Grace. Rodriquez, a college student and
model, was overwhelmingly selected
by museum visitors as the face that
most captured intelligence, friendliness
and beauty. She then spent a day at
the Institute for Creative Technologies
(ICT) graphics lab at the University of
Southern California being photographed
and filmed to capture numerous
emotions and movements. ICT used the
images to create Ada and Grace who
are also able to answer questions and
banter with one another. Look for them
in Boston or online at www.mos.org/
of 2010 in Ulan Bataar, Mongolia
participating in an internship. While
there, she lived with a shaman and
her family, learned a lot about the
Mongolian culture and even wrote a
paper for an international conference on
nuclear power.
Cal Poly, is in his third season with the
Mustangs. He produced 55 tackles,
one sack, two interceptions, and broke
up nine other passes. He also ranked
among the nation’s top punt returners
with a 12.6 yard average including one
37-yard return. Jackson also earned his
third All-Great West Conference first
team selection.
Cal Rugby players, Danny Bird ’08
and Josh Tucker ’09, are relieved
that benefactors have saved the
program from being reduced from an
intercollegiate varsity team to a club
sport in 2012. Both were members of
the 2010 national championship team
and now can look forward to continued
success with the program.
