Apply<strong>in</strong>g for <strong>the</strong> <strong>Hull</strong> <strong>MBA</strong>Admissions criteria<strong>Hull</strong> University Bus<strong>in</strong>ess School welcomes suitably qualified <strong>in</strong>dividuals to apply forentry to its <strong>MBA</strong> programmes. To be eligible for admission, applicants shouldnormally possess• a m<strong>in</strong>imum of three years’ appropriate post-graduation work experience• a good Bachelors degree (equivalent to a first or second class <strong>UK</strong> Honours degree)or an equivalent professional qualificationApplicants for whom English is <strong>the</strong>ir second language will also be required todemonstrate English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6. or TOEFL 7 (or 90for <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>ternet-based test). Applicants may be exempt from <strong>the</strong> requirement tocomplete IELTS or TOEFL tests if <strong>the</strong>y have evidence of equivalent English languageproficiency – for example, if <strong>the</strong>y have completed a degree <strong>in</strong> an English-speak<strong>in</strong>gcountry or <strong>in</strong>stitution with<strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> last five years or if <strong>the</strong>y have worked <strong>in</strong> apredom<strong>in</strong>antly English-speak<strong>in</strong>g work environment for more than five years.Applicants without a first degree or an equivalent professionalqualificationApplicants who do not have <strong>the</strong>se standard entry qualifications but do have eight ormore years of senior-level full-time work experience may submit a Portfolio ofEvidence of <strong>the</strong>ir work achievements to demonstrate that <strong>the</strong>y can benefit from,contribute to and succeed on <strong>the</strong> <strong>MBA</strong> programme. A Portfolio might <strong>in</strong>clude, forexample, details of significant work projects or strategic analyses undertaken.
