The suit hrought by the executrix of the will ofSchley to obtain an injunction against the city toprevent its taxing property of the estate east of thetracks of the S., F. & W. Railway, was heard and adecision rendered in favor of the right of the city totax, which decision was not appealed from, and thislitigation has thus been settled in favor of the city.7. The Rourke, Mitchell & Delaney suit is stillpending in the City Court.8. The Warren-Scharf Asphalt Paving Companysuit, brought in the United States Circuit Court, hasnot yet been heard in that court.9. The litigation with Mrs. Kassel, involving herright to recover two fines of $100.00 each, is now pendingin the Supreme Court of the State.10. The suit of the city against Floyd & Company,et al., has not yet been determined.11. The case pending at the date of my last reportinvolving the right of the city to tax property commonlyknown as ground rent lots, has been, since thereport, finally adjudicated in favor of the city by theSupreme Court of the United States, the unanimousdecision of which has fully sustained the position ofthe city and the judgments of the State Courts.Since the date of my last report the following newcases have been brought against the city :1.
