Be it ordained by the Mayor and Aldermenof the City of Savannah, in Council assembled,That a sidewalk shall be laid on the north sideof Stewart street, in the city of Savannah, betweenWest Broad and Wilson streets, which shall be ten(10) feet in width, and shall be paved with brick, orother hard material, subject to the approval of theCommittee on Streets and Lanes of the city of Savannah.The said sidewalk shall be inclosed with allnecessary curbing.Sec. 2. Be it further ordained, That the said sidewalkshall be laid within thirty (30) days from thepassage of this ordinance; that all existing ordinanceswith reference to paving being required by theproperty owners, or being done at their expense, andthe remedies by the city of Savannah in the event ofthe failure or refusal of the property owners, shallapply to the pavement or sidewalk herein required.Sec. 3. Be it further ordained, That all ordinancesand partsof ordinances in conflict with this ordinanceare hereby repealed.Ordinance passed December 25th, 1901.

Be it ordained by the Mayor and Aldermenof the city of Savannah, in council assembled,That the consent of this municipal corporation ishereby given to the Vernon Shell Road Company, acorporation of the city of Savannah, to lay out, construct,equip, use and operate lines of street railroadon the conditions hereinafter expressed upon andalong the following streets of the city of Savannah,to-wit: Beginning at the corner of Burroughs andForty-second streets, running thence north on Burroughsstreet to Anderson street, thence east on Andersonstreet to Montgomery street, thence north onMontgomery through the squares to Bay street,thenceeastwardly along Bay street to "East Broad street(provided always that no tracks in addition to thosealready laid be laid on Bay street and the said VernonShell Road Company shall secure the right touse one of the tracks already laid), thence south onEast Broad to Plant street, thence along Plant street(provided the consent of the Savannah, Florida andWestern Railway Company be obtained to use Plantstreet) to Habersham street, thence along Habershamstreet across the tracks of the said Savannah, Floridaand Western Railway in a southerly direction toEstill avenue, subject to the rights and restrictionscontained in the contract between the city of Savan-
