MAYOR'S ANNUAL REPORT. 861Section 1. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Aldermenof the city of Savannah, That the above entitledordinance passed April 12,1893, be amended by addingto section 1 thereof the following words:"Provided, that this ordinance shall not refer tovenders of lunches, sandwiches, etc., which are preparedand sold from push carts, where no objection •is made by any person occupying crowning a storehouseor residence in front of which such vender oflunches may stand;" so that said section, as amended,shall read as follows, to wit: Be it ordained bythe Mayor and Aldermen of the city of Savannah,in council assembled, That hereafter it shall not belawful for persons vending fruit, or other merchandise,from push carts and similar vehicles in the cityof Savannah to stand or remain stationary upon thestreets or sidewalks of the city of Savannah, for thepurpose of prosecuting their business, except so longas may be necessary to make change or to completea sale ; provided, that this ordinance shall not referto venders of lunches, sandwiches, etc., which areprepared and sold from push carts, where no objectionis made by any person occupying or owning astorehouse or residence in front of which such venderof lunches may stand.Sec. 2.
