MAYOR'S ANNUAL KEPORT.shall be a surety company authorized by the laws ofthe State of Georgia to do business in the State ofGeorgia.Sec. 2. Be it further ordained, That in the absencefrom the city or the disability of the Treasurer of thecity of Savannah, the Mayor of said city or ActingMayor shall designate one of the said clerks to act inthe place of the said Treasurer during his absence ordisability, and all checks for disbursements signed bythe said Acting Treasurer shall be countersigned bythe Mayor or Acting Mayor of the city of Savannahas long as the absence of the said Treasurer or hisdisability shall continue.Sec. 3. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Aldermenof the City of Savannah, in Council assembled,That all of sections 487, 488, 489, 490, and somuch of section 493 of MaeDonelFs Code of Savannahas relates to the sale of coal, all of said sections beingfound on pages 140 and 141 of the said Code, be andthe same are heveby repealed.Sec. 2.
