The small pump has been m dailyoperation since that date.On December 31st, the large pump was started forthe purpose of making some slight repairs to connectionsand valves. With the exception of these repairs,the boilers and machinery are in good condition..The works have been in operation 1939 hours; thetotal number of gallons water pumped is 241,770,720.Consumption of wood 616i cords.In conclusion, in behalf of the employes, and myself,I wish to thank your Honor, the Chairman ofWater Committee, and the Board of Aldermen fortheir hearty co-operation in the management of thisdepartment for the past year.Very respectfully,I.
