It shows that the prices of agricultural commodities continuously rosefrom1960and reacheda maximumin1974. In1970,theharvest prices decreasedexceptinthecaseofwheat,gramand gur. Thepricesofwheat, barley andgram showed adecline in 1971. During 1972and 1973,the harvest prices ofallthe commodities except wheat increased appreciably. In 1974,there wasasteep rise in prices of all the commodities. Prices, however, declined in 1976except those of bajra and jowar.Charkhi DadriExcept barley and cotton, the average wholesale harvest prices in themandi of Charkhi Dadri showed a continuous rising trend since 1960right upto 1974. The price of barley declined in 1971 but recorded a steep increasethereafter. The price of cotton also fellfrom Rs. 340(per quintal) in 1971 toRs. 294 in 1972.
