ASSESMENT METHODE Factory audit Documentary verificationAfter verification process is completed and results aresatisfactory, exporter will have to submit the Final Invoice(except for airfreight and courier shipments) for the issuanceof the CoCThree methods are proposed to the exporters to demonstratethe compliance of their products and obtain a Certificate ofConformity (CoC) ROUTE A: applicable to any goods and any traderROUTE B: Recommended for frequent exporter withhomogeneous products (Registration is renewableannually, subject to continual compliance.)ROUTE C: For Certified productsCertificate of Conformity ( CoC)NON CONFORMITY REPORT (NCR)FEESA Certificate of Conformity (CoC) is the document issued toevidence the compliance of the shipment to the relevantapproved standards. This document is required for Customs clearance. For consignments shipped to Tanzania without CoC,importers may be issued a penalty of 15% CIF. TBS will only grant release of such goods uponcompletion of inspection, testing (where applicable)and verifying conformity to the Standard. It is theseller’s responsibility to ensure that shipments toTanzania are effected only upon issuance of aCertificate of Conformity or confirmed certificationdecisionIf the reports from the verification activities such as testing orinspection show discrepancies versus the verification criteria,exporters will be informed accordingly and given sufficienttime to make the necessary corrections; if those are not orcannot be made a “Non Conformity Report” (NCR) will beissued. This may imply that goods are not allowed to beshipped into Tanzania.Fees are payable in advance by the exporter. Fees are net ofany tax present or future that may be applicable and arepayable upon reception of the Request of Certification (RFC).Fees are due regardless of whether after assessment of thegoods of the exporter or importer does not provide theinformation or document necessary for the final issuance ofthe CoC, or for any other reasons does proceed to theshipment of the goods.NB: Fees structure detailed in section 3.SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA 1, place des Alpes P.O.
