Stritch, 83, has a long career on stage that has included workingwith such Broadway notables as Ethel Merman, Noel Coward, George Abbott andStephen Sondheim. Faculty, staff and students filled the Rockwell Theatre forStritch’s candid discussion about her life as a performer.Misik Oct. 17– Nov. 30 in the secondfloor gallery <strong>of</strong> Thayer Hall. The exhibition,“Banska Stiavnica,” features the sites <strong>of</strong>Banska Stiavnica, a fully preserved medievalcity in central Slovakia that is listed as aUnited Nations World Heritage Site. Duringhis visit to campus, Misik presented hiswork and stories to photography andsociology classes in addition to conductinga photography portfolio review. Misik’svisit was organized by the School <strong>of</strong>Communication and the Department <strong>of</strong>Humanities and Human Sciences within theSchool <strong>of</strong> Arts and Sciences.Elaine Stritch at Pittsburgh Playhouse.for the presidency <strong>of</strong> Barack Obama on Oct.27 in the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh.
