And althoughthey lost to Northwestern Ohio,68-66, in overtime, it was agreat day for the players andfans who made the trip.More than 100 friends, family,staff and alumni attended the<strong>Point</strong> <strong>Park</strong> women’s basketballgame, which was the AmericanMideast Conference openerfor both teams. After thegame, the group from <strong>Point</strong><strong>Park</strong> enjoyed a private, allyou-can-eatbuffet receptionbefore watching LeBronJames and the Cavalierstake on the Indiana Pacers.to play in an NBA arena, andhopefully everyone involvedhad an enjoyable time.”Kosanovich had a few remarksat the reception, which washeld in a VIP room in thearena. <strong>Point</strong> <strong>Park</strong> PresidentPaul Hennigan and ActingDean <strong>of</strong> Student AffairsKeith Paylo had some wordsfor the group, as well.“On behalf <strong>of</strong> the women’sbasketball team and <strong>Point</strong><strong>Park</strong>, I would like thank youfor coming tonight,” saidPaylo. “There was a lot <strong>of</strong>hard work that went intomaking this a special event,and it was a great day for<strong>Point</strong> <strong>Park</strong> <strong>University</strong>.”Kosanovich, who is in his thirdyearas women’s basketballcoach, deserves the credit forsetting up the game at theJames scored 27 points tolead the Cavs to a thrilling,111-107 victory, and by theend <strong>of</strong> the night, everyonehad a day they wouldremember for a long time.“This was a great event for<strong>Point</strong> <strong>Park</strong> women’s basketballand for <strong>Point</strong> <strong>Park</strong> <strong>University</strong>,”said women’s basketball coachSam Kosanovich, who initiatedthe event. “It was very excitingQuicken Loans Arena40 www.pointpark.edu
