Keith Coughlin choreographer has worked as
a singer, dancer, actor, choreographer and
master class teacher across the country. Some

Joel Mercier music director, a New England
based music director, composer and actor, is a
graduate of the Hartt School of Music. He is
currently the Artistic Associate and Resident
Music Director of the New London Barn
Playhouse where he has musically directed over
25 musicals and reviews in the past four seasons.
Prior to relocating to New Hampshire, Joel’s
work in New York City comprised of assisting
numerous shows, readings, and concerts,
including Off-Broadway, as music director, AMD,
music copyist and supervisor. Joel was a regular
accompanist at the Duplex and supervised
several concerts at the Nokia Theatre Times
Square. Recent Music Direction credits include:
Crazy For You, The Wizard of Oz, Hairspray, The
Pirates of Penzance, The Drowsy Chaperone, The
Producers, Falsettos, Secret Garden, Songs For a
New World, Full Monty, Les Miserables, and The
Hot Mikado. Joel is also a private voice and
piano teacher, arranger, and an award-winning
composer. Locally, Joel’s most recent work
includes Annie at the Northern Stage in Vermont
where he will return to musically direct Chicago

Opera credits include the world premieres of
The Difficulty of Crossing a Field, Shadowboxer,
Clara, and Later the Same Evening, an opera
inspired by five paintings of Edward Hopper, a
joint project commissioned by the University of
Maryland and the National Gallery of Art.
