<strong>prostor</strong>u, okolju <strong>in</strong> družbi <strong>in</strong> je tisto, ki povezujerazlične stroke <strong>in</strong> uporabnike. Prostorskonačrtovanje je projektno naravnano <strong>in</strong> hkrativedno tudi procesno vpeto v širše sistemeupravljanja. Razvojne odločitve v <strong>prostor</strong>u so žev izhodišču naravnane trajnostno. Demokratičn<strong>in</strong>ač<strong>in</strong> sprejemanja odločitev o posegih v <strong>prostor</strong>je dobra priložnost <strong>za</strong> vaje iz državljanske vzgoje<strong>in</strong> urejanje <strong>prostor</strong>a v celoti ponuja velikomožnosti <strong>za</strong> praktično pridobivanje znanja, kilahko prav v vsaki šoli ali skup<strong>in</strong>i pridobi povsemsamosvoje razsežnosti. Naloge iz urejanja<strong>prostor</strong>a so <strong>za</strong>to vedno znova unikatne <strong>in</strong><strong>za</strong>nimive <strong>za</strong> vse udeležence. Učitelji mentorji sotako sicer postavljeni pred težko nalogo, ki pavedno tudi <strong>za</strong>nje pomeni pridobivanje novih,drugačnih izkušenj. Naloge iz urejanja <strong>prostor</strong>a<strong>in</strong> <strong>prostor</strong>skega načrtovanja so še posebno<strong>za</strong>nimive tudi <strong>za</strong>to, ker so lahko zelo stvarne <strong>in</strong>vsakdanje, kar zelo dobro vpliva na motivacijosodelujočih.Urejanje <strong>prostor</strong>a lahko vstopa v izobraževalniprogram na več ravneh, skozi različne predmete<strong>in</strong> projekte. Iz čisto praktičnih razlogov je dobroločiti učenje o urejanju <strong>prostor</strong>a <strong>in</strong> urejanje<strong>prostor</strong>a <strong>za</strong> učenje. Pri tem učenje o urejanju<strong>prostor</strong>a vključuje tudi urejanje <strong>prostor</strong>a <strong>za</strong>učenje.Učenje o urejanju <strong>prostor</strong>a, še posebno onačrtovanju <strong>in</strong> vplivih na vrednote <strong>prostor</strong>a, seosredotoča na značilnosti <strong>in</strong> vseb<strong>in</strong>e urejanja<strong>prostor</strong>a <strong>in</strong> se v največji meri povezuje spoučevanjem geografije, hkrati pa navezuje tud<strong>in</strong>a okolje, oblikovanje, zgodov<strong>in</strong>o, lokalneskupnosti <strong>in</strong> demokratične prakse odločanja. Vtem smislu <strong>prostor</strong>sko načrtovanje povezujesocialno, ekonomsko <strong>in</strong> okoljsko področje ter seuporablja <strong>za</strong> učenje ključnih sedmih konceptovtrajnostnega razvoja, ki so:– medsebojna odvisnost, pove<strong>za</strong>nost ekonomskega,socialnega, okoljskega <strong>in</strong> <strong>prostor</strong>skegarazvoja na lokalni, regionalni,nacionalni <strong>in</strong> globalni ravni;– državljanstvo <strong>in</strong> upravljanje s poudarkom naodgovornosti posameznika <strong>za</strong> stanje v okolju<strong>in</strong> <strong>prostor</strong>u;– potrebe <strong>in</strong> pravice prihodnjih generacij, ki jihmoramo razumeti <strong>in</strong> upoštevati pri današnjihodločitvah <strong>in</strong> praksi;– pravica do raznolikosti, ki se priznava takonaravi <strong>in</strong> ljudem v kulturnem, socialnem <strong>in</strong>ekonomskem smislu;– kakovost življenja, ki mora biti priznana vsemprofessional <strong>in</strong>stitutions, that encourage newmethods of teach<strong>in</strong>g and can provide them withthe necessary knowledge and tools.Deal<strong>in</strong>g with spatial management <strong>in</strong> schoolsWe believe that spatial management offers theperfect conditions for practical learn<strong>in</strong>g andstudy<strong>in</strong>g cases of susta<strong>in</strong>able development. Atthe bottom l<strong>in</strong>e, all development is more or lesscarefully planned and affects the environment <strong>in</strong>one way or another. Especially spatial plann<strong>in</strong>gis the activity that connects different professionalsand users and always has to look for the bestcompromise between the <strong>in</strong>terests of developmentand the physical space, the environmentand the society. With its project approach andl<strong>in</strong>kage to the broader systems of management,it tries to f<strong>in</strong>d the most susta<strong>in</strong>able solutionsfrom the very beg<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g. The various possibilitiesfor ga<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g practical knowledge of deal<strong>in</strong>g withphysical space, can be implemented <strong>in</strong> anyschool and as the possible projects and exercisesare unique and <strong>in</strong>terest<strong>in</strong>g for all those <strong>in</strong>volved,they can reach unexpected extensions oftheir own. This can prove to be a bit of a challengefor the teachers or supervisors <strong>in</strong>volved,but it is guaranteed to pay off with giv<strong>in</strong>g themfresh new valuable experiences. The differencebetween learn<strong>in</strong>g about the spatial plann<strong>in</strong>g andplann<strong>in</strong>g the spaces for learn<strong>in</strong>g has to be madeclear, although plann<strong>in</strong>g spaces for learn<strong>in</strong>g canbe made a part of the process of learn<strong>in</strong>g aboutspatial plann<strong>in</strong>g.The knowledge about physical space managementcan be ga<strong>in</strong>ed mostly through learn<strong>in</strong>g thecharacteristics and topics of spatial plann<strong>in</strong>gand is also related to geography, environment,design, history, local society and the democraticdecision-mak<strong>in</strong>g processes. In this sense spatialplann<strong>in</strong>g connects the social, economic andenvironmental issues and can be used as a supportto teach the seven kew concept of susta<strong>in</strong>abledevelopment, which are (Education for…,2004):– <strong>in</strong>terdependence – understand<strong>in</strong>g how people,the environment and the economy arel<strong>in</strong>ked at all levels from local to global;– citizenship and stewardship – recognis<strong>in</strong>gthe importance of tak<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>dividual responsibilityand action to ensure the world is a betterplace;– needs and rights of future generations – understand<strong>in</strong>ghow our own basic needs and299Delavnica 4 / Workshop 4
