Pozdravni nagovori/ Welcoming Speaches14napovedanih posegov, bodisi zaradi ogroženostiposebnih kakovosti, je potrebno izdelovanjeposebnega planskega dokumenta za celovitonačrtovanje krajine. V zakonodajo smo skrb zakrajino že vpeljali in želimo jo ohraniti tudi prispremembi prostorske zakonodaje, ki je vpripravi.Skrbi za kulturno krajino ne moremo prepustitisamo sektorjem, kot so kmetijstvo, gozdarstvo,energetika in turizem. Tudi v zunaj mestnemprostoru naj krajinsko načrtovanje opravljanalogo povezovanja in sinteze različnihinteresov, ki se kažejo v družbi.Izdelali smo tudi temeljit krajinski inventarSlovenije. Vemo, kakšne krajine imamo in kakšniprocesi jih spreminjajo. Veliko si prizadevamo zasplošna spoznanja o pomenu krajin. O temskušamo seznaniti že predšolske in šolskeotroke. Nenazadnje, imamo tudi visokošolskeprograme, ki prispevajo k strokovnosti na tempodročju. Ampak z vsem tem še nismo čistozadovoljni. Prevečkrat se znajdemo v težkorazrešljivih konfliktih, ko posegamo v krajinskiprostor. Iskati bo treba nove prijeme, novemetode dela. Zato nismo zanemarili nitiraziskovalnega dela na tem področju.Spoštovani,vse našteto pomeni, da uresničujemo ciljeEvropske krajinske konvencije, da izvajamopolitike, ki jih je zastavila. Zavedamo se težeproblemov in jih zato skušamo na različnenačine razreševati. Tudi ta posvet je eden odnačinov. Želimo izmenjati stališča in izkušnje zdrugimi državami Evrope. Želimo si sodelovanjana tem področju. Želimo si, da bi bilo naše deloprispevalo k skupnim ciljem vseh dežel Evrope.Dovolite mi, da vam še enkrat zaželim uspešnodelo in prijetno bivanje v Sloveniji.scape are included in conscientious protectionand direction of landscape development.We wish to preserve the identity of our landscapes.The areas of special concern either becauseof an announced action affecting the environmentor risks to their specific features, requirethe elaboration of a special planning documentfor the comprehensive planning of thelandscape. Concern for the landscape has alreadybeen included in our laws and will also betaken into consideration in amendments to spatiallegislation currently under preparation.Concern for the cultural landscape cannot beleft solely to departments such as agriculture,forestry, energy and tourism. The landscapeplanning should perform the task of linking andcombining various interests shown in societyalso outside towns and cities.We have also elaborated a thorough landscapeinventory of Slovenia. We know what landscapeswe have and what processes are changingthem. We are endeavouring to obtain generalknowledge on the importance of landscapes.We are trying to impart this knowledgealready to preschool children and schoolchildren.And then we also have higher educationprogrammes that contribute to the expertise inthis field. However, we are not entirely happywith all this. We are far too often in a tight spotwhen we take action affecting the environment.We shall have to find new ways and methods ofwork. For this reason we also continue to pursueresearch in this field.Ladies and Gentlemen,All the above means that we are realising theaims of the European Landscape Conventionand implementing the policies established in it.We are aware of the importance of problems;we are therefore trying to address them in variousways. And this conference is one of theways. We wish to exchange views and experiencewith other countries of Europe. We attachgreat importance to co-operation in this field.We hope that our work will contribute to thecommon goals of all countries of Europe.May I conclude by reiterating my wish for everysuccess in your work and a pleasant stay inSlovenia.
